Animation

Genefer uses traditional 2D animation techniques to explore her curiosity of the Creative Process, and to explore concepts which interest her and her clients.

Traditional animation is different than motion graphics or CGI. Each frame is not rendered by a computer, but drawn individually and lovingly by hand. This approach creates a unique look and realistic feel for each project, not replicable by any other style.

'Passage' | Short film

“Passage” follows a young girl as she transitions into adulthood.

This is one of a three-part interactive animated series presented at the TOA Berlin satellite event hosted by Stun and Awe (watch the full video here).

The participant observed each story while wearing an EEG brain sensor in collaboration with MuArts.

Animation meets performance

KEK explores primordial darkness which is deified using a large, cube-like structure.

The performance begins with directionless chaos, as Marco begins frantically pasting onto the structure. He is soon joined by a projected animation depicting a puppeteering figure. This creature appears to be manipulating the artist, as he pastes his glyphs onto and around the walls of the entire cube.

The concept speaks to the increasing collaboration of street artists and corporations throughout Europe.

“Italian Urban Art” is a group show including 12 artists, each active in the underground scene, creating installation and murals both nationally and abroad. Genefer partnered with artists Skeulpt and ASTO to create her longest animation to date, at 13:45.
